Turning existing buildings into something new.

Conversion projects are some of the most rewarding work we do, and some of the most demanding. They involve unpicking and reworking what’s already there, layering in new services, structure and finishes, and managing a series of technical and consenting steps in parallel. Done well, they bring buildings back into long-term, productive use. Done badly, they cost time, money and confidence.

We specialise in conversion projects across Scotland and the North of England, working with developers, asset managers and property owners on schemes that range from single-building conversions through to larger residential developments.

Industry specific expertise

What we bring to a conversion project

End-to-end project management

A named Project Manager runs the scheme from pre-construction through to handover, coordinating design team, statutory consultees and specialist trades

Working with existing fabric

Conversions almost always reveal surprises. We plan for it, with realistic contingencies, regular surveys and an active approach to variations rather than a defensive one

Multi-disciplinary delivery

Structural alterations, M&E installation, fire and acoustic upgrades, finishes, managed as a single, sequenced programme rather than separate work packages handed off and forgotten

Compliance and consents

We’re used to working closely with building control, planning officers and (where relevant) regulators on conversion-specific approvals

Sector experience

Our flagship scheme is the conversion of a former care home into 18 apartments in Inverness, a project that brings together every element of conversion delivery in one site

Credentials you can check

360 Degree Construction holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications, covering quality management, environmental management and occupational health and safety respectively. We are currently working towards Construction online Gold accreditation.

We hold the accreditations and insurances expected of a commercial contractor working in regulated, occupied environments, and we’re happy to share documentation on request.
