Four sectors, each with its own pressures, and its own way of working

We work across four main sectors: residential and property development, commercial property, student accommodation, and care and nursing homes. Each one has its own demands, clinical safeguarding, term-time deadlines, business continuity, planning and compliance, and each one shapes the way we plan and run a project.

This page gives an overview of the sectors we work in and what we bring to each.

Tailored sector solutions

Why sector experience matters

A care home isn’t a commercial refurbishment with extra signage. A student accommodation refurbishment isn’t an empty-building job. The detail of how a project runs, the phasing, the working hours, the safeguarding, the communication with residents or tenants, is what separates a contractor who’s done the sector before from one who hasn’t.

We’ve worked across all four of our sectors for years. That means we know what to plan for, what to look out for, and how to talk to the people who’ll be living, studying or working in the building while we’re there.

Our sectors

Residential and Property Development

Refurbishment and conversion projects for developers and asset managers, including full change-of-use schemes such as our Inverness 18-apartment conversion.

Commercial Properties

Refurbishment, fit-out and reconfiguration of offices, retail and mixed-use buildings, delivered around continued trading and tenant use.

Student Accommodation

Refurbishment, maintenance and improvement works across communal areas, bedrooms, kitchens and bathrooms, often delivered within the short summer window between academic terms.

Care Homes and Nursing Homes

Refurbishment and improvement works inside live care environments, phased and managed to keep residents and staff safe, comfortable and undisturbed.

Industry-specific expertise

What we bring to each sector

Whichever sector you’re in, the way we work is the same: a named Project Manager, a planned and phased programme, clear communication, and a team briefed on the environment they’re working in.

What flexes is the detail. Care projects are paced around residents and clinical routines, with extra attention to safeguarding, infection control and visitor management. Student projects are run hard against an academic deadline. Commercial work is planned around trading and tenant continuity. Residential development work is managed as a sequenced, multi-trade programme with handover-ready quality at the end.
